The Wholesale Specialist will support the Sales department. This position is an important role to ensure this fast-paced sector of MaryRuth’s (MRO) continues to run smoothly and efficiently. The Wholesale Specialist is responsible for assisting the team through a variety of tasks related to organization, customer and internal communication, and process development. The job requires an ability to maintain confidentiality in handling classified retail, sales, and operational information daily. This position will also be in charge of handling time-sensitive material and requires an ability to manage time and workload well. This job is a full-time (40 hr/wk), non-exempt, remote position at $20-22/hr. depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Complete new Wholesale Program member application reviews, business document collection, and new member onboarding.
- Customer follow-ups - post-ordering, inactive customers, active customer relations.
- Assist with generating and fulfilling whole orders.
- Data analysis on active wholesale sales, members, orders, etc.
- Assist in the creation and upkeep of automated wholesale email flows.
- Assist with sales events.
- Address general customer issues and inquiries.
- Keep wholesale member information accurate and up to date.
- Assist with the build of our new wholesale site
- Provide ongoing administrative support for retail operations.
- Perform general clerical duties, including but not limited to implementing and maintaining a departmental filing system, sending faxes, e-mails, mail, and other office communication, making and distributing copies.
- Oversee direct customer and vendor access to the retail operations offices including scheduling appointments and screening prospective vendors.
- Organize and track retail headcount; assists the retail leadership team in the management of this information.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
- Some travel (<5%) may be required on an as-needed basis, with advance notice provided to the employee.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of administrative experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Proficient with Google Suite.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience with Netsuite preferred.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as record-keeping and filing.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
- This role involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
